That’s a bang!
According to BILD information, FC Bayern is separating from coach Julian Nagelsmann (35) with immediate effect. Thomas Tuchel (49) is the favorite to succeed him. First, transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reported on the rumors.
After the 2-1 draw in Leverkusen on Sunday, board member for sport Hasan Salihamidžić was tough: “That’s not what Bayern means. So little drive, mentality, duel, assertiveness – I’ve rarely experienced that.”
FC Bayern has apparently come to the conclusion that Nagelsmann is primarily to blame. Bayern has lost 10 points to Borussia Dortmund this calendar year and is only second before the direct duel.
Nevertheless, the separation comes as a surprise. Most recently, the bosses had repeatedly emphasized that they were convinced of the youngest Bayern master coach in history. In addition, Nagelsmann has a perfect Champions League record this season: 8 games, 8 wins, most recently the inspiring 2-0 win once morest Paris St. Germain.
Nagelsmann’s problem for a few months: With Tuchel there is a top-class player on the market who won the Champions League with Chelsea in 2021. Nagelsmann took over FC Bayern on July 1, 2021.
