Saudi Arabia – Al Hilal Club, the leader of the Saudi Football League, revealed the nature of the injury of its Serbian international striker Aleksandar Mitrovic and the duration of his absence from the stadiums.

Mitrovic suffered a muscle injury last Saturday during the confrontation between Al Hilal and Al Shabab (4-3) in the 25th round of the Saudi Professional League, which witnessed the Serbian striker scoring two goals before being substituted in the 35th minute.

Al Hilal said in a statement published on its account on the “X” platform on Monday, that the x-rays performed by Mitrovic revealed that he had suffered an injury to the posterior muscle.

Al-Hilal explained that its Serbian top scorer will undergo a six-week treatment and rehabilitation program following the muscle injury.

Mitrovic is considered one of Al Hilal’s most prominent players this season, as he participated with the team in 35 matches in various competitions, scoring 33 goals and making 8 assists for his teammates.

Mitrovic’s injury came at a time when Al Hilal is preparing to engage in major football battles locally and continentally during the coming period.

It is expected that Mitrovic will be absent from Al Hilal’s ranks once morest Al-Akhdood, Al-Khaleej, Al-Ahly, Al-Taawoun and Al-Fateh in the league, and from the match with Al-Nasr in the Saudi Super Cup semi-finals, and from the Super Final if Al-Hilal qualifies.

Mitrovic will also miss the first and second leg matches once morest Al Ain in the UAE in the AFC Champions League semi-finals and once morest Al Ittihad Jeddah in the Saudi Cup.
