Books – Hassan Morsi:
Ashraf Sabry, CEO of Fawry, revealed that Fawry’s systems and applications had been hacked, saying: On November 8, we received a report that our company’s servers had been hacked through a site on the “Dark Web.”

Sabry said, during a telephone conversation with journalist Amr Adeeb, on the “Al-Hekaya” program, on MBC Misr satellite channel, on Friday evening, that Fawry has a system and mechanisms to deal with such reports, through a first examination of the application to confirm the presence of a hack into the systems.

The CEO of Fawry added: “We used an external company specialized in cybersecurity to conduct a comprehensive examination of the company’s systems, servers, and applications to ensure that there is no hacking, and the company confirmed that Fawry’s servers are completely secure and that no user data was leaked.”

Regarding the state of panic that struck Fawry application users after news spread that the application had been hacked, Ashraf Sabry said: “When a report of this kind occurs, there are precautionary measures taken by customers, and we cannot blame the application users for that, but we confirm that the application and user accounts are completely safe.” .
