Faulty brakes and fuel leak: which Peugeot, Citroën and Opel models are recalled

Many models of recent Citroën, Peugeot and Opel vehicles are the subject of a consumer recall.

This consumer recall, launched on September 23, concerns a set of very recent vehicles from 2021 and 2022. It is carried out at European level for the safety of motorists. Indeed, several risks are targeted.

On several models from OpelVivaro and Zafira life from 20 to 28 January 2022, the rear brake may be defective, which reduces the performance of the service brakes and increases the risk of accident and injury to the occupants indicates the government website. Same concern and dates at Citroën concerning the Jumpy utility and the Spacetourer. Ditto at Peugeot with another utility model, the Expert and the tourism version of the Traveller. Owners of affected vehicles should contact their car dealership.

Another risk has been detected, this time fire on many car models Peugeot produced between March 17 and April 30, 2022. These are the 208, 2008, Expert and Traveller. The problem is the high voltage wiring harness which might be faulty, posing an increased risk of fire.

Finally, still at Peugot, among the 208 leaving the assembly lines between August 5 and November 23, 2021, it is also the fire risk that is pointed out but with another origin. This is because the fuel line might rub once morest other components, resulting in damaging and flammable leaks.
