It would be a special story of the upcoming NFL season.
When the Jacksonville Jaguars meet the Indianapolis Colts in their opener on September 10, the Jags might have father and son on duty – father Doug Pederson coaching on the touchlines, and son Josh on the field (The Complete NFL Schedule)
As announced by the Houston Gamblers from the newly formed USFL, their player Josh Pederson has been released to join an NFL team.
Pederson hints at new team
The Gamblers did not share which team it is. But Pederson himself gave a clear indication of this. The tight end liked a tweet detailing his move to the Jaguars.
Pederson previously coached with the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs but has never played in a regular NFL game.
For the Gamblers, Pederson was the team’s second-best player in the season with 24 catches for 325 yards.
His father Doug has been coaching the Jaguars since early 2022 and led them to the divisional game last NFL season, where they lost to eventual Super Bowl winners Kansas City Chiefs.
