Was little Wassim, 3 years old, killed by his father? The circumstances of the death are unclear. Suspicion fell on him following examining the child’s body. This Friday, the Arlon Council Chamber confirmed the arrest warrant and continued preventive detention of Mohammed T., Wassim’s father, for a period of one month.
Several charges were brought, in this case, intentional bodily harm, deprivation of care or food and murder. The prosecution specifies that the investigation is continuing and that in the interest of it, there will be no further communication at this stage.

According to neighbors, the child had been ill for several days. He would have been deprived of food. However, a doctor reportedly came to the home at the end of last week.
The man is not known to the courts. He denies the charges once morest him. In the village, he is described as a somewhat lost, isolated, fragile person. He had been caring for the child alone since the death of his ex-partner in a car accident at the start of the year.
