Father and son, fatalities after fire of luxury truck in Las Lomas: CDMX Prosecutor’s Office

The Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJCDMX) reported that the victims of the luxury van fire in the colony Lomas de Chapultepec, son father and son.

The fatalities are Pablo Jimenez and his son, also known as Pablo Wrath, lead singer of the band rock metal Ceberus.

Fire following crash

According to a statement, the father and son were traveling in the company of a third individual aboard a high-end vehicle, which it hit a tree and subsequently caught fire.

Personnel from the General Coordination of Forensic Investigation and Expert Services, expert in criminalistics, photography, chemistry, land traffic, fires and explosions, as well as environmental impact, initiated the corresponding opinions.

Regarding the man who was injured, the first investigations establish that at approximately 01:30 a.m. that day, he possibly left a restaurant located on Emilio Castelar Street, Polanco neighborhood, in said mayor’s office, in the company of those now deceased, and together they boarded the vehicle.

Driver arrested for wrongful death

According to a witness to the events, when passing through Paseo de la Reforma, the driver lost control of the car and collided with a tree; subsequently, the unit began to catch fire.

This person managed to rescue the 25-year-old driver, while the deceased today – father and son – died as a result of the crash and fire.

The local agency added that the injured man was transferred to a hospital under police custody and at the disposal of the agent of the Public Ministry of the Territorial Investigation Prosecutor’s Office in Miguel Hidalgo, who initiated an investigation once morest him, for his probable participation in the crime of wrongful death due to vehicle traffic and environmental crime.
