Two people died in a traffic accident in the early hours of this Monday, January 15, in Puerto Ordaz.
The incident occurred at approximately 1:00 am, when the gray Toyota Corolla vehicle collided with a fixed object at the traffic light in the Sierra Parima sector, at the end of Paseo Caroní.
Erika Patricia García, 27 years old, died after the impact. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle, for which he was rescued by Caroní Municipal Firefighters.
The man was identified as José Flores, 42 years old, who was treated by paramedics from the Medical Emergency Care Room (Saem) Bolívar.
Flores was transferred to the Uyapar Hospital, where he died minutes after his admission.
