Fatal Road Rage Incident in Manhattan: Driver Killed After Argument & Collision

A case of road rage had fatal consequences this Wednesday followingnoon on the streets of Manhattan following a driver hit and killed another following an argument.

According to authorities, the two motorists began arguing while driving west on East 60th Street on the Upper East Side around 4:00 p.m.

The Silverado pickup and a Volkswagen Jetta vehicle collided by rear-end following one of them allegedly did not want to yield to another.

This caused the driver of the van to get out and begin damaging the Jetta’s tires with a knife.

At this, the driver of the car accelerated and pressed it once morest a nearby wall.

The 54-year-old man was helped by passersby and then by firefighters, who applied resuscitation maneuvers and transferred him to a hospital.

Police reported that the alleged attacker driving the Jetta was accompanied by a woman and three children.

The man was arrested and charged with manslaughter, among other charges.

This worries the authorities since the holiday period is just beginning and a high influx of bathers is expected, especially on weekends. According to experts, the sharks have been seen more often due to a special fish, which sharks normally eat, that has come close to the bay.

The Governor of New York, Kathy Hochul reported that they will increase surveillance on the beaches due to the increase in shark sightings. “These new drones will increase the shark monitoring capabilities of local governments on Long Island and New York City, ensuring that local beaches are safe for all bathers,” she said.
