The brawl took place between two young men aged 19 and 21. A knife was pulled out. One blow was fatal.
The police, who were very present last night over the holidays, quickly intervened. And this morning, the main suspect, the alleged perpetrator of the fatal blow, was apprehended.
“Whether it happens or not during the Walloon Festival, it is and remains a dramatic event,” comments Maxime Prévot, the mayor of Namur. “A 19-year-old who loses his life in these types of circumstances is a tragedy.”
