Around 7:00 pm on the 13th, a nearby person reported to the fire department that a two-story wooden house of Hideo Iwamoto (78) in Toriishi, Takaishi City was on fire.
Twenty-three fire engines and other vehicles came out and the fire was almost extinguished after about an hour, but one person was found dead from the burnt ruins.
According to the police, Mr. Iwamoto lives with his 75-year-old wife in this house, and has lost contact with his wife after the fire.
