Two men, members of a criminal gang who were being sought for committing various crimes, were killed this Saturday when facing a police patrol that tried to arrest them, in an event that occurred in the Manouayabo sector, Santo Domingo Oeste municipality.
The alleged criminals were identified as Heriberto Belliard Aybar (a) Pichón, 20, and Yaheli Morrobel (a) Yael, 21, who lived in the Enriquillo de Herrera sector and were the leaders of the criminal gang known as “Los Rabia “.
According to reports from the National Police, both were wanted by means of arrest warrants for the commission of at least five homicides and for wounding two people with bullets during assaults on different dates.
The event, according to a report from the Central Investigation Directorate (Dicrim) in Santo Domingo Oeste, indicates that it all started when they received an alert of the possible location of the alleged antisocials.
After this, they moved to Calle Sur 36, in the Hato Nuevo de Manoguayabo sector, where the members of the gang would have fired at the members of the National Police, who reacted in the same way and caused an exchange of shots.
A moment later, the assailants would have tried to flee, but they were shot by members of the National Police.
Later, the attackers were transferred to a health center where they died while receiving medical attention.
Heriberto was seized of a Glock 19 brand pistol, 9 mm caliber, serial number AAHT655, with its 30-capsule magazine, containing 12 capsules inside.
While Yaheli was seized a Smith & Weson brand revolver, 38 caliber, serial number 379526, with two capsules and two casings. The revolver was taken from a citizen by assault, on the 43rd block of Las Caobas, on Friday, July 14 of this year.
The two antisocials, both deceased, were wanted through several arrest warrants, for being accused of committing multiple crimes.
