Fatal Car Plowing Incident in Sheffield: Man Killed, Others Injured in Violent Clash

A 46-year-old man died and several other people were injured when a car plowed into a crowd in Sheffield in the north of England on Wednesday, where violence was taking place in a district of the city.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of homicide, and a 55-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of attempted homicide, local police announced.

Police said that at around 2am local time on Wednesday emergency services were called to near College Close in the town, “following reports of violence and disorder”.

While the call was in progress, a car collided with a group of people.

One man was killed instantly, and another person was taken to hospital in serious condition.

The area has been surrounded by a security cordon and police are continuing their investigation.
