The man, coming from Gistel, left the road, for an undetermined reason, near Roeselarestraat in Hooglede and hit a parked car. He died on the spot, despite the intervention of the emergency services.
The West Flanders public prosecutor’s office did not appoint a traffic expert because the accident was clearly visible on video surveillance images. No other vehicles were involved.
