A 32-year-old Swiss man died during the night from Friday to Saturday, around 3 a.m. The man, from the canton of Bern, was walking in a street in Steffisburg (BE), when he was violently hit by a car. Despite first aid provided by a passerby, then by paramedics, he did not survive his injuries.
For the moment, the exact circumstances and causes of the accident have not been communicated by the Bernese cantonal police. However, it indicated that an investigation was underway, under the direction of the Oberland Regional Public Prosecutor’s Office.
