A 31-year-old woman has been charged with first-degree murder in Milwaukee, United States, following shooting dead her children’s father’s new flame shortly following catching them in the act of adultery.

The Milwaukee Police Department said the victim is Destiny Carter, a 22-year-old woman, who was shot twice in the head at 6 a.m. on September 11.

Michelle Silas was arrested shortly following the murder.

According to court documents, she told officers, “I shot the girl upstairs.” During interrogation, she told her version of events.

“I came home and he was sleeping with her,” Michelle Silas said. I looked at him, wondering how he might have done that. I was angry, I yelled at him. He started hitting me.”

“I didn’t want to shoot her,” added the mother.

Invitation refused

Police also questioned the man. He allegedly invited Michelle Silas to join them in bed. The man then began having sex once more, while Michelle Silas watched.

When she shot the victim, the latter began to bite her partner’s penis, forcing her to scream. The officers, who were already in the area responding to another call, saw “a naked man with blood between his legs” near a car.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment of a laceration to his penis.
