A 45-year-old had an accident on Wednesday in Werfen in Salzburg’s Pongau during a mountain tour on the high ropes: When the Salzburg woman and a friend crossed a 30-degree snow field, according to the state police, the 45-year-old lost her footing. She fell over the icy flank and crashed into rocky terrain, the victim died at the scene of the accident.
The bad weather did not allow the use of a rescue helicopter. An alpine policeman and mountain rescuers climbed to the scene of the accident.
