A serious accident occurred in the night from Saturday to Sunday, on the N97 in Havelange, around 4am.
Five people were traveling in a small Polo when the car violently hit a tree along the road. Apparently, the vehicle is the only one involved even if the circumstances are not known at the time of writing these lines.
The driver died on the spot, four passengers were injured in a condition considered serious.
On the spot, help was sent en masse: 5 ambulances, 2 SMURs and a medial helicopter from Bra. The firefighters intervened under the orders of Lieutenant Lietard, from Dinant, with a pumper and markings from the Ciney barracks. The police secured the scene during the intervention and took charge of the report.
The mayor of Havelange also came down to the spot.
