The week starts very badly on our roads in Picardy Wallonia. This Monday, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the Chaussée de Tournai side, near the Festu bridge which has unfortunately already experienced fatal accidents, in Pipaix in the entity of Leuze-en-Hainaut.
Two vehicles collided violently for a reason still unknown. The rain that has been falling since this morning is undoubtedly not unrelated to this collision.

The driver who was traveling in the direction of Tournai saw her vehicle being thrown against the concrete guardrail. The lady unfortunately lost her life instantly. The emergency services, which nevertheless arrived quickly on site from the Leuze and Blaton barracks and under the command of Captain Stasik, were unable to do anything for her. The other driver was slightly injured but his condition did not require him to be sent to hospital.

On site, traffic was blocked by the police while the emergency services did their work and the usage reports were drawn up. Diversions have been put in place.
