Fastned and EVBox have joined forces to install one of the first European fast charging stations in the Netherlands with terminals capable of delivering up to 400 kW!
The “Troniq Modular DC” station was presented by EVBox in May 2021 with up to 240 kW of charging power, but its development has continued since. An evolution, which judiciously adds “High-Power” to its name, increases this figure to 400 kW and the first models have just been put into operation for testing at the station. Fastned of De Watering on the A8 near Oostzaan, the Netherlands.
If indeed we can find a vehicle capable of handling such power (none can today), this would theoretically make it possible to recover 100 km of autonomy in just three minutes. In addition, the terminal is capable of charging two cars simultaneously, allocating up to 200 kW to each, a scenario that is more likely to arise for some time.
Fasten one EVBox However, they are not content to bet everything on these incredible figures and announce to also emphasize the quality of the product, the user experience, the ease of maintenance and the monitoring of the load data. It is also an opportunity for Fastned to vary the DC terminals that its fast charging network uses. Little by little, the older 175 kW ABB chargers are thus being replaced by Alpitronic Hypercharger HYC300 which directly equip the new sites.
