AFTER the success in 2023, the Fastlane Mandalika Track Day event is back. The event will be held at the Mandalika International Circuit, Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), on August 8-10, 2024.
Royal Brewhouse Fastlane Mandalika Track Day 2024 organizer, Melvin Tenggara, said this event was held for the second time. “We are very satisfied with the condition of the Mandalika Circuit which is like a circuit abroad. That’s why we are back here this year,” he said.
Fastlane Mandalika Track Day 2024 was held to channel automotive hobbies, especially high-speed cars. At the Mandalika Circuit, all 16 participants and 21 cars were invited to enjoy the speed potential of their cars.
“Royal Brewhouse Fastlane Mandalika Track Day 2024 is not just a race, but a safety driving campaign event. Friends who have a hobby of speeding or racing with their cars must be channeled in the right place such as the Mandalika Circuit, not public roads that can endanger many people. In addition, as good Indonesian citizens, we also want to help promote the Mandalika Circuit so that it is better known internationally, including various tourist destinations around it,” said Melvin.
Melvin also added that the Royal Brewhouse Fastlane Mandalika Track Day 2024 is an event for racing practice on a private or limited circuit. For this year, he said, participants are limited to the sports car category or sports car cars such as Porsche, BMW-M, Mercedes AMG, to Supercars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mclaren, to track cars such as Praga and Radical.
This event is held in a limited way, because the costs that must be incurred by each participant are very large, both for circuit rental costs, accommodation, and vehicle loading. “In addition to the fairly large costs for renting the Mandalika Circuit, each participant in this event can spend around tens of millions, because car accommodation from Java Island is still quite expensive. Hopefully someday there will be the best solution,” he said. (Z-2)
