Dogs stole the spotlight at the inaugural “Ferbaby” fashion show for the Elysian collection, during New York Fashion Week.
The show brought together designers, models, and rescue animals for a fashion day and fundraiser for animal welfare organizations.
10 models dressed by models such as: Victor de Souza, Nicole Miller, Brooke Wilder and others participated in the fashion show, each accompanied by one of the dogs that designed their own clothes.
The CEO of DRC Ventures, the main sponsor of the event, Dr. Kristina Rahm, who has three dogs and a cat, runs several brands, including a high-end fashion line for humans and pets.
“We started thinking, what can we do for the animals? My husband Clayton Thomas and his family are veterinarians, so we decided we had to do something for the animals.”
“We wanted the animals to be fashionable, so we made a fashion line for them as well,” she added backstage before the show.
