As protests once morest the government’s agricultural policy intensify in France, major roads on the outskirts of Paris have been blocked to prevent farmers’ tractor demonstrations heading towards the capital Paris.

Farmers expressed disappointment with the government’s emergency support measures and warned that they might advance as far as the Elysee Palace.

Agricultural tractors with red flames and honking horns fill the streets.

Farmers’ tractor protests have been taking place across France since the 18th.

This time, even major roads near Paris were blocked, and regarding 1,000 farmers and 500 agricultural machines were mobilized.

A large cauldron, a tent, and even a refrigerator.

They spent the night on the road and predicted endless protests until their demands were met.

They warned that they might paralyze the city center by entering the front of the Elysee Palace, where the president is staying.

Farmers claim that while government environmental regulations are becoming stricter, subsidies are decreasing.

They also complained that livelihoods are becoming difficult as agricultural products from other countries with relatively less regulations are imported.

Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, who held an emergency cabinet meeting, promised to pay related support funds by March 15 through a policy announcement to the public.

In addition, additional support measures were introduced, such as announcing that the standards for French agricultural products would be applied to foreign products to ensure fair competition.
