SENIOR MUSICIAN Fariz RM, also became one of the performers on the first day of The 90s Festival 2024 at Gambir Expo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. Saturday (10/8/2024) night, Fariz performed with a quartet formation.
Tonight feels special for Fariz because it is also a momentum to celebrate 45 years of his dedication to music. The 65-year-old man has been famous since his debut solo album, Sakura in 1980. Before that, Fariz had made music by performing with Giant Step and The Rollies. Having released at least 35 albums, both solo and compilations, Fariz is still a regular at music festivals to this day.
On The 90s Festival stage, Fariz performed Penari, Sejati, Hasrat dan Cita, and Nada Kasih, among others. Sakura and Barcelona closed his performance that night.

On stage, Fariz did not interact much with the audience. He disciplinedly performed from one song to another.
Nevertheless, the man who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from Anugerah Musik Indonesia 2017 still performed with a well-maintained composition and arrangement. Several improvisations were also made, making him worthy of being praised as one of the figures in the Indonesian music world with perfect musicality.
The 90’s Festival will still take place on Sunday, (11/8/2024). Suede, will be the closing act on Sunday. (M-1)
