Farid El-Deeb files an appeal against the execution of Naira Ashraf’s killer before the cassation

Lawyer Farid El-Deeb, the defense of the accused, Mohamed Adel, accused of killing Naira Ashraf in Mansoura, filed an appeal before the Court of Cassation once morest the sentence issued once morest his client to death by hanging.

Al-Deeb filed a memorandum of reasons for his appeal before the cassation of the death sentence before the end of the 60-day legal period for appealing criminal sentences, and submitted a portfolio of documents filed in the name of lawyer Ahmed Hamad.

And the Mansoura Criminal Court, the Fourth Circuit, earlier issued its death sentence by hanging for the accused of killing Naira Ashraf, a student at Mansoura University, following receiving the decision of the Grand Mufti of the Republic.

The court decided earlier to refer the papers of the accused of killing Naira Ashraf, a student at Mansoura University, to the Grand Mufti of the Republic to take a legal opinion on his execution.

It is worth mentioning that the court demanded, in the merits of its ruling, that the death sentence of the accused be broadcast live, following a legislative amendment was made.

The lawyer, Farid Al-Deeb, announced earlier that he had written a memorandum of appeal once morest the accused’s death sentence and submitted it to the Court of Cassation, without announcing the details of the reasons for his appeal.
