With a very long applause and the entire public standing up, the Promúsica subscribers said goodbye to the director Virginia Martínez, who leaves her baton at the head of the Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia. Last Friday, the Águilas Auditorium hosted the last subscription concert of the Promúsica Águilas season, in which the OSRM, together with the pianist Anna Kavalerova, offered a Tchaikovsky monograph, in which the dedicated public from Aguilas enjoyed the Concert for piano n°1 in B flat minor Op.23. After the traditional glass of cava and chocolates, in the second part, they performed Romeo and Juliet Op.42 and the Solemn Overture 1812 Op.49, with a tremendous finale accompanied by paper cannons. Moved by the warm and heartfelt ovation, Virginia Martínez received a plaque in gratitude from Promúsica and a golden eagle, symbol of the town, from the mayoress, Mari Carmen Moreno, and the mayor of Culture, Maido Simó.
Thus, music lovers say goodbye to a magnificent season and look forward to the celebration of the Full Moon Concerts, which the association organizes every August at Castillo San Juan de las Águilas. This summer, the appointments will be on the 3rd, 4th and 7th at the Aquiline watchtower, and, exceptionally, on August 6th the Infanta Doña Elena Auditorium will host a performance by the internationally renowned soprano Lisette Oropesa.
