Farah is from a revolutionary family, but with different generations and the passage of time, priorities change, and the mother knows Tunisia well and knows how this country can crush anyone who tries to break with tradition and society. The mother-daughter relationship fluctuates at every moment in the film, making you support both ideas at the same time. Leila Bouzid did not put us in the position of a judge or a judge, but she tried to show the problem, so that we might feel and understand both points of view.
The tape consists of three parts separated by blackness
We sympathized with Farah and supported her cause once morest the injustice of the system and the society that is rising up once morest young people who live their lives as they want, in love, music and the arts. We understand the mother who is trying to protect her daughter from everything, because following all the events, revolutions, love and life, she has nothing left but joy, to give her love and protection.
Leila Bouzid explored the forbidden and presented a film in a purely Tunisian spirit. With three parts separated by blackness, Bouzid started a movie with music, and gradually took us to silence as the Arab authorities do by absorbing the youth’s vigor. The story of the film is not new, as it has been presented in many films, but Leila Bouzid adds spirit to the story through colours, music and acting.
