Fans Unite: Marseille Supporters Launch Boycott of Pernod Ricard Amid Sponsorship Deal

“We’ll drink something else”. Monday, September 2, the group Pernod Ricard has made its sponsorship official from PSG until 2028. In a press release, he details the terms of the agreement: “Pernod Ricard (…) will be the club’s sole supplier of champagne and spirits, with visibility and communication rights (…).”

That was all it took for unleash anger of Olympique de Marseille. On X (ex-Twitter) they gather on the hashtag #boycottricard. Some insult the group as “collaborators”, “sellouts” and “traitors”. Others call on the memory of Paul Ricard, the founder of the aniseed drink brand.
