The operational strategic commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (Fanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, indicated on his Twitter account that in the south of Bolívar state, the military seized detonators, ammunition, and weapons of war.

According to information from the institution, the Fanb is deployed in the border areas of the country to combat collaborators of the Colombian Armed Terrorist Drug Traffickers (Tancol) and those who carry out illegal mining, generating “predation of forest reserves and ecocide in Venezuela.”

Destruction of illegal tracks

In the state of Amazonas, the military destroyed “improvised” illegal airstrips in the border area with Brazil and Colombia.

The general explained that these tracks were used for “illegal mining and drug trafficking.” He also added that “we will not allow ecocide in Amazonas state.”

These measures have been carried out within the framework of Operation Autana, carried out in the southern zone of Bolívar.
