A famous pastor who has been accused of habitually molesting North Korean youth has been arrested.
The Seoul Central District Court (Presiding Judge Lee Min-soo) issued an arrest warrant for Pastor A on charges of violating the Act on the Protection of Sexuality for Children and Youth today (21st).
The court explained the reason for issuing the warrant, saying, “There is a concern about destroying evidence.”
Pastor A is accused of sexually harassing eight North Korean minors for at least five years at an alternative boarding school he runs.
It is also said that he apologized to some of the victims, but denied the charges during the police investigation.
Pastor A has helped more than 1,000 North Korean defectors over the past 20 years and is known as the ‘Asian Schindler’ by domestic and international media.
