Actor Rishi Kapoor, who was known for his romantic roles in his days in Bollywood, has passed away in a hospital in Mumbai.

He was 67 years old and was suffering from leukemia or blood cancer.

His elder brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed his death while talking to BBC.

Rishi Kapoor belonged to the famous Kapoor family of Bollywood and was the middle son of actor, filmmaker and director Raj Kapoor.

He married Neetu Singh, the famous heroine of his time, in 1980 and his son Ranbir Kapoor is also a leading actor in Bollywood at the moment. Apart from Ranbir, Rishi Kapoor also has a daughter Riddhima.

Rishi Kapoor was shifted to HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday morning after his condition worsened.
