Ayesha Jahanzeb, a well-known anchor person of Pakistani TV shows, has accused her husband of torture, following which the police took her husband into custody and presented him in court. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that any kind of violence once morest domestic or working women will not be tolerated.
Ayesha Jahanzeb told the police that her husband tortured her three to four times this year.
It should be noted that Haris is the second husband who tortured the TV host, Ayesha Jahanzeb’s first husband Jahanzeb has passed away.
They said that the husband has secretly married, on which he tortures.
Ayesha Jahanzeb said that I tried hard to avoid the relationship of husband and wife, I have suffered serious injuries due to the violence of my husband and now I am fighting a legal battle.
On the request of Ayesha Jahanzeb, a case has been registered by Sarwar Road police station, following which the police took the husband into custody.
When anchor person Ayesha Jahanzeb’s arrested husband was produced before the court, the judicial magistrate approved the physical remand of the accused Haris for two days.
Ayesha Jahanzeb had told during a show that following the diagnosis of cancer, her mother started pressuring her to marry once more and she refused for a long time but then she gave up.
The TV host said that till date she had only one male friend, Haris, whom she later remarried.
Chief Minister Punjab’s notice of the incident of violence
Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz took notice of the incident of violence on anchor Ayesha Jahanzeb by her husband and sought a report from the Inspector General.
Maryam Nawaz instructed Ayesha Jahanzeb to provide the best medical facilities and said that women are my red line, no violence once morest domestic or working women will be tolerated.
