According to the obituary issued by the “Comrade Funeral Management Committee in the Village”, the famous actor Cun Li (formerly known as Zhou Cunli), who had starred in “Red Flag Spectrum” and “Chen Huansheng Going to the City”, passed away at 9:52 on June 29 due to ineffective medical treatment at the age of 90. .
Born in the village in 1932, a native of Wangdu, Hebei, he studied in Baoding Middle School in his early years. In 1947, he joined the Northeast People’s Liberation Army and served as a member of the art troupe and a cultural teacher. Since 1950, he has been an actor of the Hebei Provincial Art Troupe (later changed to the Hebei Provincial Repertory Theatre). During this period, he performed dramas such as “Liu Jiemei”, “A Hundred Ugly Picture” and “Liu Hulan”, and adapted writer Liang Bin’s novel “Red Flag Spectrum” into a drama script. The village in his 20s played the blind Zhu Laoming in the drama, with both form and spirit. .
In 1959, Ling Zifeng and Cui Wei decided to put “Red Flag Book” on the screen. They went to the play “Red Flag Book” to select actors, and they became the only one selected in the village. He still played Zhu Laoming. The performance in the village was natural and full of life, and was well received by the audience following the release.
In 1983, the village starred in the movie “Chen Huansheng Going to the City”, which was adapted from Gao Xiaosheng’s novels “Chen Huansheng Going to the City” and “Chen Huansheng Changed Jobs”. In the process of purchasing raw materials, I witnessed all kinds of unhealthy stories, and the village cadre Chen Huansheng played it vividly.
The movies starred in the village also include “Doctor Bethune”, “Ah, Cradle”, “Red River Flux” and “Family Road Kuan”. (Beijing Evening News reporter Wang Jinyue)
