The murder of Marta Elena and Ashley, mother and daughter, shocked the Carabobo entity. But even more so when it was learned that the son and brother, respectively, would be the main suspect in the double crime, which occurred this weekend in the town of Aguirre, Montalbán municipality.

According to unofficial sources, Marta Elena Tovar Sánchez would receive a good amount of money in foreign currency and her 30-year-old son knew it. She allegedly planned a robbery to keep the money.

That Saturday, September 17, Tovar was sharing a meeting with some friends in which his daughter Ashely Leal Tovar (22) was also present. Leaving the celebration, both went to her house in El Reposo alley, where shortly following they were found dead and with several bullet wounds.

Supposedly, the victims would have realized who the assailants were, so they decided to shoot them, although apparently, in principle, that would not be the plan but to steal the money. Detectives from the Scientific, Criminal and Criminalistics Investigations Corps (Cicpc) began to investigate until they arrested the 53-year-old woman’s son, as allegedly responsible for the act.

Apparently, the subject would not have acted alone. The investigations would be on the trail of others involved to capture them and finish closing the case.

While the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Carabobo extended its condolences for the murder of Ashley, a third-year medical student.
