Family gives away pizzas at the Mexico-Puebla roadblock (Video)

MEXICO CITY.- Transporters and drivers have been stranded for three days in the Blocking of the Mexico-Puebla highwayraised by ejidatarios.

Although one of the lanes was opened for only two hours this morning, there are still dozens, even hundreds of drivers stuck in the blockade.

However, one family decided to support them in these tense moments by bringing food to those affected.

“We came to show our solidarity with the transporters because we also make a living from this; it is not in their hands that they are stopped, nobody would want to be in their place,” said the lady. Adriana Carrillo.

Together with her son and grandson, Adriana filled her truck with food to distribute to the drivers trapped near this toll booth on the federal highway.

With the help of five other young people, they showed solidarity with the truck drivers and distributed food and drinks to them, completely free of charge.

The family is originally from Chalco Valleyand its detail was much appreciated by the transporters.

Blockage of the Mexico-Puebla highway exceeds 50 hours

Since 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, a group of 300 residents of the municipality of Saint Rita Tlahuapan They have blocked the Mexico-Puebla highway.

They also blocked alternate routes: the North Arc and the Tlaxco-Tejocotal highway.

The ejidatarios demand payment for their lands expropriated for the construction of the now blocked road and the reservation of the Iztaccihuatl–Popocatepetl National Park.

The blockade is currently approaching 60 hours, with no indication of an agreement with the federal government to lift it.
