As a general practitioner, you are constantly in contact with patients, how do you protect yourself?
I always wear surgical masks, even FFP2 masks in particular situations, and despite sometimes massive exposure to the virus, I have been spared so far. It shows that the masks offer very good protection. When I discovered the suffering of my first patients suffering from the long Covid, I felt a little cold in the back and I often had to repress the fear of contamination, but over time I got used to it. Today, I consider that the risk of being infected in the family by their own children is greater than in the context of a family doctor’s activity.
