A dozen trucks will take part in a procession through the center of Hønefoss on Saturday. In addition to the cortege, the commemoration will consist of speeches from family and friends, a barbecue and a concert with local artists, writes NRK.
Very, very touching, says sister Ida Aarseth Pedersen about so many wanting to participate. Jonas’ partner Pernille Andersson will lead the cortege on his old motorcycle.
– It is important for us to be together on a day like this. I think it is a day that is going to be tough for many. To honor him and remember the fun-loving boy he was, says Pedersen to NRK.
Saturday marks one year since Jonas Aarseth Henriksen was found shot dead in his car near a cabin in Nes in Ådal. In the months before the murder, he had submitted eleven reports to the police. The sister says it has been burdensome to wait for the investigation to be completed.
Now the investigation is about to end, confirms police inspector Odd Skei Kostveit.
– The investigation is now ending, and the case will be sent to the state attorney with a recommendation at the end of the month, says police inspector Kostveit.
A total of five people have been charged with murder or complicity in murder. All deny having anything to do with the murder.
Four of the accused have been released from custody, while a 29-year-old is still in custody. The police believe this man carried out the murder.
