This Tuesday, a new complaint was filed for building problems in an educational building in Neuquén. Families fed up with the situation and that their children cannot attend class normally, They started a call to protest and demand answers from the Provincial Council of Education, including a street blockade.
Primary school No. 67 in Neuquén has not had classes for almost a month; a series of problems led the directors to have to take this measure so that their students do not run any type of risk.
Lucas, a father of the institution explained to Diario RÍO NEGRO that The first problem that arose in the building had to do with the sewers that overflowed, “The school was completely filled with sewage liquid and for several days, there were no classes.” However, then another problem arosea common among the complaints from the different schools in Neuquén: the heaters.
According to what the father said, Camuzzi had to go and make some arrangements, which meant that students might not return to school. After several days without classes and with the problems “apparently solved”, this Tuesday the families found themselves with another situation: “Today they told us that the school cannot have the authorization because the hot water tank is missing.”
This statement ended up overwhelming the families who see how, as the days go by, their children lose days of school. “More problems continue to arise and the solution is not to have classes”Lucas criticized. In this sense, he pointed out that the educational community decided to convene itself to be able to mobilize and make its claim visible.: «We want concrete and guaranteed solutions for our childhoods. “Enough of delaying improvements with patches, we want definitive solutions.”
According to what was reported, the parents’ initiative is to a mobilization on Thursday, May 2 at 7. The measure consists of concentrating in front of the institution and from there, move towards Primeros Pobladores street to make a cut. “We know that it is an important artery of the city and we want it to be known what is happening,” said the father and concluded: “This situation has already overwhelmed us all and is affecting the education of our boys and girls.”
