FAME MMA 22: Marta Linkiewicz wins against Karolina Owczarz after a very even fight in K-1

The only women’s fight that was on the FAME MMA 22: Ultimate schedule is behind us. The event is taking place at the PGE National Stadium in Warsaw. Karolina Owczarz and Marta “Linkimaster” Linkiewicz faced off in a K-1 fight.

The ladies have not liked each other since the news about their sparring surfaced, in which Marta Linkiewicz allegedly managed to clearly stand up to the professional combat sports competitor.

At the FAME 22: Ultimate gala we could see how both ladies actually present themselves in the fight against each other.

Marta Linkiewicz entered the fight more aggressively. She was the one who started to set conditions, but Owczarz retaliated, although after one of the charges she was impaled on a powerful straight punch from Linkiewicz and danced on her feet.

Owczarz clearly felt Linkiewicz’s blows and looked like a fighter who was more hurt by her opponent’s blows. The KSW fighter started clinching, but also retaliated with punches and kicks. Linkiewicz also presented herself well in this round. Well, maybe apart from accidentally putting her finger in her opponent’s eye.

Both players presented a very dynamic fight. There was no clear advantage for either side, although in the second round Marta Linkiewicz emphasized her advantage more often.

In the third round Karolina Owczarz wanted to show the judges that she was in control of the events in the octagon at FAME MMA 22 and started landing hits on Linkimaster. Linkiewicz tried to return the favor, but her punches were not as clean as in the previous round.

Ultimately, the fight reached a judges’ decision. The judges, however, awarded a split decision to Marta Linkiewicz.
