Fallout series receives 16 Emmy nominations

The 76th Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024, and Amazon’s hit series Fallout has received an impressive 16 nominations across multiple Emmy categories, including a nomination for Outstanding Drama Series.

Co-showrunner Graham Wagner said a Deadline“Fallout came out of a really wild, creative period of video game creation, and television seems to be catching up with that moment now, similar to movies catching up with the somewhat psychedelic Marvel Comics of the 60s and 70s. So I feel like we’re in that pattern.”

“The great thing regarding doing Season 1 is that you have eight hours to adapt a franchise, where there are thousands of hours of gameplay to draw from, and that means you have to leave behind a lot of your favorite pieces of mythology,” said showrunner Geneva Robertson-Dworet. “So we’re honestly excited to be able to dig deeper into it and show audiences more of this incredible world.”

Wagner added: “We’ve barely scratched the surface of the Fallout world in Season 1, and it feels like we’re taking another step forward in Season 2, but there’s still a lot more to do.”
