We’ve seen ambitious game mods before, but Fallout London is definitely in a league of its own. This to say the least ambitious modification of Fallout 4 is a completely new game and its story takes place between Fallout and Fallout 2. It has been in development since 2019 and for the first time a Fallout game takes place outside of the United States, so as the name suggests , here exploring the English capital. It is a gigantic project which is basically a modification of Fallout 4 and to play this adventure it is therefore required that you own a copy of Fallout 4 GOTY Edition on PC. Unfortunately, there is no console support.
Fallout London was actually supposed to be released earlier, but when Bethesda announced that it would release a next-gen update to Fallout 4, there was a problem. You also have to downgrade your game for Fallout London to work. Even with this done, however, quite a few crashes have been reported. When you install Fallout London, it also replaces your copy of Fallout 4, so if you want to play the original again, you have to reinstall everything from the beginning.
With 200 missions, 7 companions, voice actors and a brand new soundtrack and then of course a post-apocalyptic London to explore, this really looks like something very special. It can be downloaded, absolutely free, from here.
