The average selling price of gasoline at gas stations nationwide in the first week of December (4th to 8th) was 1611.1 won, down 15.1 won from the previous week.
The average price of gasoline this week in Seoul, the most expensive region in Korea, was 1699.6 won, down 2.5 won, and in Daegu, the lowest price region, was 1544.8 won, down 19.9 won.
This week’s diesel sales price was 1845.7 won, down 16.2 won from the previous week.
As international oil prices fell, gasoline and diesel selling prices also declined.
Domestic petroleum product prices are expected to continue their downtrend next week.
International oil prices showed a downward trend this week due to rising US petroleum product inventories, deteriorating Chinese export indicators and fears of a global recession.
This week’s average price of Dubai oil, which is the standard for imported crude oil, recorded $76.7 per barrel, down $3.4 from the previous week.
The international gasoline average price decreased by 3.5 dollars to 83.4 dollars per barrel, and the international automobile diesel price decreased by 7.1 dollars to 109.5 dollars per barrel.
