Falling fuel prices in France: motorists rush to the border, leaving the pumps dry

Fuel prices have significantly reduced among our French neighbors… Enough to attract many Belgians to the other side of the border. Result: some border petrol pumps are already dry and must therefore close their doors.

It must be said that the French State provides aid of 30 centimes per litre, against 18 previously. Since September 1, the liter of gasoline has therefore increased to 1.50 euros.

The difference is notable compared to the prices we know Belgium. And Belgian and French motorists did not need to be asked this weekend: service stations were literally stormed.

But no need to rejoice too quickly: the aid from the French State will drop to ten centimes per liter from November 1, until it disappears completely on January 1.
