INDONESIA managed to win 2 All England 2024 titles following Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto or Fajar/Rian became champions in the men’s doubles sector. Fajar/Rian won the gold medal following defeating the Malaysian pair Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik with a score of 21-16 and 21-16 in the final on Sunday (17/3).
Fajar/Rian’s victory made Indonesia the overall champion at All England this year because they won the most gold medals. Previously, Indonesia got its first gold through Jonatan Christie who beat Anthony Sinisuka Ginting with a score of 21-15 and 21-14.
Meanwhile, different countries won the women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles titles.
In the women’s doubles, the title was won by the South Korean pair Baek Ha-na/Lee So-hee. They defeated Japanese representatives Nami Matsuyama/Chiharu Shida with a score of 21-19, 11-21 and 21-17.
Then in the women’s singles event, Carlona Marin from Spain became the champion. He won 26-24 and 11-1 over Japanese representative Akane Yamaguchi who decided to retire in the second game.
Then in mixed doubles, the winner was Zheng Si Wei/Huang Ya Quiong from China. They won 21-16 and 21-11 over Japanese representatives Yuta Watanabe/Arisa Higashino. (Z-6)
