Karami, while receiving delegations congratulating him on his victory following the decision of the Constitutional Council, stressed that the election of the presidency is unlike any other entitlement, stressing the need for consensus and convergence, which matters more than the election process itself.
The popular delegations filled Karami’s office in Karam al-Qulla Palace in Tripoli, following the Constitutional Council issued a decision accepting his appeal and annulling Dr. Rami Feng’s prosecution.
Since the morning, political, economic and social figures and popular delegations have flocked from various regions of Tripoli and the North to bless MP Karami for restoring the Sunni parliamentary seat.
Karami spoke in the midst of the audience, thanking the Constitutional Council, saying: “He restored the right to its owners in Tripoli and Miniyeh al-Danniyeh.”
He added: “I must thank the Constitutional Council for the hard work, morality, and high professionalism to establish the law and restore the right to those people who voted for us and the list of the popular will, and in fact the Constitutional Council did not return the right to Faisal Karami only, but also returned the votes of the people who voted for this approach.”
