It is Saturday 9 and like every Saturday from 10 to 17, unfolds the Dead China Fair. Within the framework of the month of agroecology, at 2:00 p.m. the exchange of seeds and knowledge will take place. The fair is celebrating its 10th anniversary and every week it celebrates and renews the productive and recreational proposals for and with the community. On this occasion, the Area of Agroecological Aromatics of the Vocational Training Center (CFPA) No. 1 of Plottier is accompanying. The appointment is at the property of La Cooperativa El Labrador, by the entrance to the first entrance of China Muerta on the way to the Limay river. There are signposts for new visitors.
This is the ninth year that the month of September is dedicated to agroecology. The first month was held in Guaminí, Buenos Aires province, but today is a date that opens gates in the rest of the territories, to publicize what is happening in terms of healthy food production. The care of native seeds is key to the agroecological paradigm. The goal is for people to have free access to seeds, as the patrimony of the peoples, through exchange and encouraging their protection.
This exchange is convened by the China Muerta Fair and from the CFPA it is accompanied by a talk on the self-production of seeds under the agroecological paradigm. It will also be a closing instance of the aromatic course that is being carried out in the Post”.

As every Saturday there will be more than 35 stalls of various items, wood crafts, leather, silver, cloth, fruits and vegetables, home chickens, eggs, a variety of baked goods, fresh fruit juices, craft beers, nuts, plants, cosmetics, clothing, and screen printing. In addition, choripanes, vegetarian food, corn cake, bondiola sandwich, empanadas and pizzas baked in a clay oven, homemade sweets, preserves, cherries from the area and much more.
“This public and open event allows people to self-produce their seeds and food, even in small spaces. It is an instance to learn, share and continue diversifying production. There will be horticultural producers and it will be possible to exchange not only seeds but also cuttings, bulbs, ornamental and medicinal seedlings and their own experiences”, invites Rodríguez.
