SECRETARY General (Sekjen) M.Fadil Imran officially submitted the registration files for the candidacy of PBSI General Chairperson. This was done following 35 provincial administrators (Pengprov) of PBSI stated their letters of support for Fadil Imran to advance as the new captain of the national badminton organization.
Fadil Imran’s registration along with letters of support from 35 provincial administrators were received by the team for selecting potential general chairman candidates chaired by Edi Sukarno and secretary Moch Sya’roni at the PBSI National Training Center, Cipayung, East Jakarta, Thursday (18/7).
“Today we received letters of support from 35 provincial administrators. They all support and submitted statements of support to Mr. Fadil Imran to run as a candidate for general chairman of PP PBSI for the 2024-2028 term,” said Edi in his statement, (18/7).
Edi explained that the registration along with the administrative requirements files will be examined by the selection team to see whether it is in accordance with Organizational Regulation (PO) No. 001/2018.
If following the research is conducted and all the requirements are met, then Fadil Imran has the legality to become a candidate for General Chairperson of PP PBSI.
By pocketing 35 letters of support, according to Edi Sukarno, Fadil Imran has far exceeded the minimum requirement for nomination. According to PO No. 001/2018, to be able to run for the PBSI General Chairperson position in the National Conference, a prospective candidate must have the support of at least 10 provincial administrators.

“With 35 votes of support which is the majority, it is certain that Mr. Fadil Imran will run smoothly to run for the PBSI National Conference later. With that much support, Mr. Fadil Imran only needs some kind of legality to occupy the position of General Chairperson of PP PBSI 2024-2028,” explained Edi.
The plan is that the 2024 PBSI National Conference (Munas) will take place in Surabaya, 9-11 August 2024. One of the agendas is the election of a new captain of the national badminton organization for a term of office until 2028.
“After we received 35 registration letters and also submitted the administrative requirements to support Mr. Fadil Imran to advance in the 2024 PBSI National Conference, we will examine the supporting requirement files and later submit them to the forum during the PBSI National Conference in Surabaya,” said Edi.
