Facebook Messenger wins games in video calls

O Messengerdo Facebookgained a very nice feature: the play together, an option for video calling games. The mechanics are quite simple: just select the “play” icon referring to the games during a video call. With this, the available games will be displayed and you can select the desired title to start the game.

As remembered the PhoneArenathe resource represents yet another incursion of the Meta, this time with Facebook, in the area of games — given that the social network already has a live platform on the subject. It is also a way to encourage users to spend more time using the network messaging service.

To play with other people on calls, no additional installation is required and the titles are free. There are 14 game options, most of them made for 2 players, although some allow the simultaneous participation of more people. The games are simple, including topics such as quiz, mini golf, cards and words.

It is necessary to accept some permissions to be able to play. As the function is still under development, Play together is only available on the web version of Messenger — with Facebook’s recommendation to use Chrome — and will soon arrive on iOS and Android apps. Developers will also be able to add other games to the feature.

Excited to play? ????
