Hand-to-hand combat takes the lead in the claustrophobic new Censored map, featuring multiple weapons, gadgets and tools in a new season where players must face their fears.
The Battlefield team has revealed the Season 6: Dark Creationswhich will be available from October 10 for Battlefield 2042 players. This intense season brings a variety of new content to the game, including a new map, weapons, gadgets and gameplay improvements. These core contents will be available to all players as part of the free Battlefield 2042 Battle Pass tier; Additional cosmetic items can be obtained through the Premium version of the Battle Pass. Plus, there’s no better time to jump into Season 6 and dominate the unknown with your squad, as Battlefield 2042 will be free on all platforms from October 12 to 16.
In Season 6, the fight on the battlefield takes a dramatic turn when Despas soldiers are captured and subjected to experiments
by a nefarious organization. Censored is the new Dark Creations map, set in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland, and inspired by fan-favorite maps from the series in the past, such as Operation Locker (Battlefield 4) and Operation Metro (Battlefield 3). It is the first map in the franchise to feature a completely indoor environment with play spaces created for intense, claustrophobic infantry firefights and more than one dark secret.
As with all new Seasons, players can expect a wide variety of new weapons and gadgets to find and with
those to experience in Dark Creations. The VHX D3 features optimized portability and performance, making it a valuable weapon for close-quarters and medium-range combat. The sidearm is an L9CZ pistol whose high-precision semi-automatic firing is best suited for close-quarters situations. Last but not least, the G428 marksman rifle has exceptional accuracy and great penetrating power for shooters. Ammo and medicine drop pouches are added to the gadget repertoire, giving players ways to aid their patrols when death approaches. To help provide rapid support to targets, hop aboard the YUV-2 Pondhawk, a dynamic two-person flight-capable vehicle.
In addition to all this content, several quality-of-life features will arrive in Season 6, including improvements to the Aim Assist for console players to improve the fairness of cross-play gameplay, Recon class balance, vehicle handling improvements such as tank turning, jet handling, speed/gravity adjustments and much more.
Battlefield 2042 will be available for free on all platforms from October 12 to 16so there has never been a better time to set out to dominate the unknown with your patrol.
