Brad Pitt appears to be suffering from a rare disorder that is making his life miserable. He can’t remember people’s faces. That seems arrogant, but in truth he’s ashamed that he doesn’t recognize people.

Brad Pitt (58) is face blind. A disorder called prosopagnosia. He is unable to recognize or distinguish people by their faces. He is still waiting to meet a second person who suffers from the same impairment. “No one believes me!” Pitt said.
The Hollywood star and Oscar winner makes this confession in the upcoming August issue of GQ. Pitt said he didn’t receive a doctor’s diagnosis, but he was sure.
He himself worries that he can appear “distant, aloof, unapproachable and selfish” – while struggling to recognize faces.
Ashamed of not recognizing people
“So many people hate me because they think I don’t respect them,” Pitt told the magazine in 2013 «Esquire». ‘ ‘Thank you for helping me,’ he said. At one point he decided to speak openly regarding the problem. He said he “only annoyed more people”.
The truth is, Pitt says, he wants to remember the people he meets. And he’s ashamed that he can’t. (kes)
